With two challengers besting two incumbents in the Unit 1 Sault Tribe primary, the message is clear, Sault Tribe Members want change! From using the Elder Fund as collateral for the Greektown Casino to balancing the budget with the Elder Fund then boasting about it, the choice is also clear.... No incumbents!
The decision to lend my support was made very carefully. The only candidate I see that has detailed a plan for our future is Malloy. What impresses me most is her honesty and open communication. If a candidate will not take a position on the key issues, Protection of the Elder Fund, Full disclosure of financials, Seraration of Powers, and Employee Rights, how can you know how they will vote?
